Branch 154 member and Korean War Veteran Edward Legere passed away 24 January 2023 at the age of 91. Edward Joined the Royal Canadian Navy at the age of eighteen in 1949 and was posted to HMCS NOOTKA, serving as a Leading Seaman TD2 (Torpedo Anti-submarine). NOOTKA, a Tribal Class destroyer, sister ship to HMCS HAIDA, preserved as a museum ship in Hamilton, circumnavigated the world on her way to two tours in the Korean War in 1951 and 1952.
